Loan Repayment Specialist

If you are looking to work alongside a team of highly energetic, passionate and driven people, then this opportunity may be for you. Reporting to the Director of Customer Operations, this Loan Repayment Specialist will:

• Follows Meritize's policies and procedures, when initiating outbound calls and receiving inbound calls from borrowers
• Negotiates clear and effective account resolution
• Documents actions within the collection systems
• Maintains company performance and productivity standards
• Updates contact information in the collections systems
• Supports other work/call queues to facilitate teamwork in the department
• Escalates and assists other team members with calls as needed
• Performs activities such as skip tracing, credit bureau reviews or administrative tasks

Working closely with the other members of the team, this person will meet the following requirements:

• At least 1 years of related experience in loan repayment
• Previous student loan, subprime or installment loan collections experience is a plus preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English is desirable but not required
• Previous experience in a compliant workplace (FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA) preferred
