Finance Intern

This is a 12-week, full-time paid summer internship. This position will be reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, and work with the Capital Markets and Accounting teams. The primary responsibilities of the Finance Intern include:

• Assist with the preparation of periodical financial reports
• Research and explain financial variances to plan and help forecast upcoming years
• Support capital markets with loan sale generation and funding operations
• Ensure data integrity and timely delivery of various requests, such as data uploads and ad-hoc analysis
• Support the team with various clerical and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with other partners across the Company as needed on projects and initiatives that drive Meritize’s growth

To be eligible for this internship, applicants must have: 

• A college degree or ongoing studies in a related field (Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business)
• Intermediate Excel Skills (Index-Match, Pivot Tables)
• Previous internship or related experience in finance (preferred)
• SQL, R, and Python is a plus
