This position will report to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, but will also work with the Capital Markets and Accounting teams.  Here are the key things the Finance Intern will be doing:

  • Help with preparation of periodical financial reports
  • Research and explain financial variances to plan, forecast and prior year
  • Support capital markets with loan sale generation and funding operations
  • Ensure data integrity and timely delivery of various requests such as data uploads and ad hoc analysis
  • Assist with preparation of accounting schedules
  • Support the team with various daily clerical and administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with partners across the company on projects and initiatives to drive Meritize’s growth


We are looking for someone with a high attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt swiftly, think critically and create innovative solutions to solve problems and improve processes.


  • College degree in a related field (Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business)
  • Intermediate Excel Skills (Index-Match, Pivot Tables)
  • Previous internship or related experience in finance is a plus
  • SQL, R, Python also a plus
  • Available for 12-week internship from May-August
