    Responsibilities

As a senior partnerships team member, you will work closely with the business development, business initiatives, and customer services teams, as well as various team leaders to cultivate strong and mutually beneficial relationships with schools both large and small that offer various fields of study. This person will also be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining a variety of partnership initiatives in order to imbed Meritize deeper into key relationships.

     

    This position is based out of Frisco, TX and will require travel with the following responsibilities: 

    • Drive the top-line revenue with consistent year-over-year growth.
    • Accelerate growth by identifying key partnership opportunities for which Meritize is strategically well-positioned.
    • Have a comprehensive understanding of partner school’s organizational structure. Develop rapport and nurture relationships with all relevant touchpoints at the partner’s institution.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of Meritize’s values, financial products, policies and processes. Be ready and able to communicate Meritize’s value propositions, articulate mutual financial benefits, discuss impacts both to the schools and to their students.
    • Through frequent and in-depth partnership engagement, obtain a deep understanding of current issues and problems facing the partners specifically and the industry in general. Work with Product and other internal stakeholders to bring solutions to Meritize’s partners.
    • Collaborate with business development and various internal teams to build and maintain a pipeline of relationships with potential partners, taking responsibility for the relationship post initial sign-on.
    • Renegotiate some partnership agreements while properly balancing company goals, speed, and economic potential.
    • Evaluate the financial and non-financial benefits and risks of new partnerships. Take responsibility for the integration and cultivation of new partnerships for designated accounts.
    • Track, report, and optimize the performance of partnerships, including identifying issues as they arise, assessing possible solutions, and facilitating the execution of those solutions.

    Qualifications

    • At least 2 years of experience in managing relationships. Strong history of planning and fostering relationships.
    • Exceptional understanding of organizational structures, priorities, and areas of expertise. Ability to identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and relevant decision makers. Strategically position Meritize to enable acceleration of
    • Meticulous and outstanding ability to plan, follow up, and close out issues to the satisfaction of all parties.
    • Energetic and proactive self-starter who is highly capable of identifying and executing the necessary steps needed to drive forward school partnerships.
    • Ability to evaluate the impacts of prospective partnerships across several dimensions and to prioritize initiatives appropriately according to company goals and to drive growth.
    • Ability to analyze data and take quantitative approaches to forecast and track key metrics, as well as identify opportunities for growth.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Financial services experience is strongly preferred
